Are you living in Nijmegen as an ex-pat, an international student or are you visiting Nijmegen as a tourist and do you have a medical question? At huisartsenpraktijk Waalfront you can ask for a consultation in English. Both GP’s speak fluent English.
Our website is still under construction, but we strive to have most of our information in Dutch and English.
Interest in international health care
As you might have read in the profile of Nynke Nagtzaam our practice has a special interest for international health care with al it’s similarities and differences between views on health all over the world. We would like to be an international GP practice to give the opportunity to non-Dutch speaking inhabitants of Nijmegen to have access to good health care.
Differences and similarities between health care systems
We are aware of differences between the health care system in your birthplace and the way health care is set up in the Netherlands. Dutch health care is seen as one of the best health care systems in the world. But still there are some peculiarities in the way our system is set-up. We think it’s important to be aware of differences and similarities between health care systems all over the world to learn from each other. We are both trained in the Dutch Health Care system and work according to the Dutch GP guidelines. However we are open to discussion about the way we choose to provide care to our patients. We strive for an open and equal communication in the consultation room. Learn us about the health care system in your country of origin so we can learn the best from both worlds.
